127 Film

INTRODUCTION

The Beacon II is the cutest 127 film camera ever.

It was made from 1947 to 1955 by Whitehouse Products in Brooklyn, USA. The usual model is black, but it was also available in different colors, making them even more cute!

BEST SUITED FOR:

Fun!

PERSONAL NOTES

The Beacon II is a fine assembly of metal and bakelite, forming a nice art deco style object.

The loading is easy, the finder is ok, the lens is collapsible, and the exposure is very limited, nothing unusual for this kind of camera.

CONCLUSION

Even if this camera is very limited, it's very cute and fun to use, but 127 film is difficult to obtain. If you like nice objects, get one just for display, it's cheap and very nice looking. If you ever get your hands on 127 film, have a try, it's also fun. It won't be your best photos, but it'll defenitely be a nice shooting experience.
