PERSONAL NOTES

The Canon EOS A2e took the World by surprise with its eye-controlled auto-focus system. After a quick calibration, the photographer only have to look at the desired focus point and half-press the shutter to engage the autofocus system, and boom! The focus is done at the desired spot.

It's so simple! It's difficult to understand why modern cameras are not all equipped with this system...

Apart from that, the A2E is a mid-level SLR camera, with a so-so build quality, much like a Canon EOS 650. The viewfinder is comfortable.

One small hickup: the grip is a bit slippery. The camera does not have vulcanite or any other material to provide a firm grip, so if you carry your camera in hand without a strap, you might drop it at some time.

CONCLUSION

Just to try its eye-controlled autofocus system, the Canon EOS A2E is worth trying. And it's cheap, so get one :-)
