INTRODUCTION

The Nikon F is a 35mm film SLR camera made in Japan between 1959 and 1971. It definitely put Nikon on the map.

PERSONAL NOTES

The Nikon F is the fist of the Professionnal line of SLR cameras. In my hands, it feels solid, as solid as a Leica M3, even heavier. It's a classic camera that made history, it was the first Nikon SLR camera, it also was a camera that combined many good features into one package.

Like all of its newer versions, the Nikon F has interchangeable lenses, prisms, and backs. Many professionnal photographers adopted the Nikon F. It was an advanced camera for its days.

Nowadays, the Nikon F is quite surpassed by many other cameras, but it's still nice to use. I like the feel of it, it's massive, so it does not move that much because of the shutter slap when the speed is slow.

CONCLUSION

The Nikon F is a classic camera, nothing special in today's photography.
