PERSONAL NOTES

The Nikon FE is one of the best Nikon camera there is. Some prefer the FM, which has a mechanical shutter and works even without batteries, but I personally prefer to have an electronic shutter with the aperture priority mode. The batteries are so small anyway, you can bring some extra in your bag.

The Nikon FE is simple to use, and well designed. The finder is big, it has a split screen to focus, and the shutter release is locked is you keep the film winder in is original position, nice.

If you pay a bit more you can get the Nikon FA and get program and shutter priority modes too.

The Nikon FA, FE and FM are about the same size, they are very good cameras and have access to classic lenses.

CONCLUSION

The Nikon FE is one of ma favorite Nikon cameras. Get either a FM2, FE or FA, they all are excellent.
