PERSONAL NOTES

The Praktica MTL5 is an average camera for its time. I used it for a few weeks, nothing really stands out, which is good and bad. No feature is so great that I'm in awe, but also, everything is there for a photographer to be able to shoot.

Like its big brother the Pentacon Six, the shutter release is on the fron of the camera instead of the top. You get used to it after a while.

The meter is usually dead or unusable on these cameras, but you can still use it in manual mode.

It has access to M42 mount lenses, which is a lot of different lenses, available for cheap, and also, no really amazing lenses that stands out.

CONCLUSION

For the price, the Praktica MTL5 is a good deal, it has everything you need, but do not expect to be amazed by it.
