PERSONAL NOTES

The Ikoflex was the first TLR I ever used. When not used to this type of camera, you are a bit lost. Everything is manual, and the viewfinder is reversed laterally, so you're always turning the camera the wring way. The good news is that you get the proper habit over time.

My model had a sticky shutter. Be sure to check low speeds with old cameras as the lubricant can thicken and make the shutter blades stick, making your exposure time longer than expected. This is not negligeable.

This was one of my first experience with a proper medium format camera, I found the bokeh quite marvelous on the Ikoflex, especially at close range.

Experimenting with this camera made me want to shoot more in medium format, just because of the nice Bokeh I had.

CONCLUSION

TLRs are fun and cheap. If you never experimented with one, go ahead and try one, its a must. And they're cute too :-)
